The Whole Room
Curatorial Possibilities
The Whole Room was created to offer diverse curatorial possibilities. Live art, dance and performance-based projects happen in this intimate space. When converted to a lecture platform, guest critics, cultural leaders, writers, curators, and collectors offer perspectives on the works on view in the galleries. Home to The Logan Conversations which bring together exhibiting artists from across the globe with local and national creative minds in casual dialog about art of our time. The Logan Conversations often result in spontaneous laughter, song and audience participation. In the heart of the Museum, the Whole Room can be programmed for site-specific works or video installations such as the one seen above by Candice Breitz, entitled LEGEND (A Portrait of Bob Marley), 2005. When on view, the Breitz video resonated throughout the Museum, drawing visitors to the Whole Room to be a part of Marley's famous calls to action.
